Production Business Systems Integration

Connecting operational, CRM and financial workflows into a supportable production system.

The challenge

A business process crossed multiple systems and user groups. The technical problem was not simply “connect two applications”; it was to make data movement reliable, understandable and usable in day-to-day operations while reducing manual handoffs.

Good integration work removes friction without making the underlying system harder to support.

Approach

I treated the workflow as an operational system: define the source of truth, map the data path, establish authentication boundaries, make failures visible and keep the user experience simple.

Design priorities

  • Clear ownership of data at each step.
  • Minimal manual duplication.
  • Secure authentication and least-privilege access.
  • Errors that can be diagnosed rather than silently ignored.
  • A workflow that operations staff can actually support.

Delivery

The solution combined Salesforce-oriented data, application logic and financial/business workflow integration. Delivery included implementation, testing, rollout and support—not just a prototype.

The value of the project is the combination of software and operational context: understanding what the systems can do, what the business actually needs, and how the result will be supported after launch.

What this demonstrates

Business systems thinking, API integration, stakeholder translation, data flow design, deployment and production ownership. It also reflects experience working at the boundary between technology, finance and operations.
